Stock Coil Inner Diameter

By default in starting point Digital Factories, aPriori assumes that the inner diameter of the stock coil is 508 millimeters. Administrators can customize the default with the cost model variable stockCoilInnerDiameter.

Users can override the default on a per-part basis with the setup option Stock Coil Inner Diameter (defined on the Roll Forming - Coil node in the Process Options Editor). Users must enter a value greater than 406 mm.

The cost model uses this value in the calculation of coil mass, which guides machine selection for the Uncoiler process. The cost model also uses this value in the calculation of stock coil length, which affects material utilization, batch stoppage time, and cycle time.
